GAJE E-Newsletter
In 2005 the GAJE Steering Committee approved the establishment of an e-newsletter to be circulated to all GAJE members who have signed up to the GAJE listserve. The material in each newsletter is also posted on www.gaje.org. This newsletter is a forum, primarily, for GAJE members to advertise upcoming events, conferences, activities, projects, job opportunities, publications etc. All GAJE members are encouraged to submit any relevant information.
Details:
The newsletter is published every even numbered month (February, April, etc).
o We
encourage people to submit material for publication in the newsletter in a format
similar to the following example – please keep your material within about
10 lines:

Human Rights Conference in XYZ City, ABC Country.
o The GAJE newsletter typically includes a section on GAJE news and events, following by announcements from other organizations related to justice education. The "Publications" section in earlier GAJE Newsletters is now renamed "Resources for Justice Education." The purpose of this section is to provide GAJE members with information about books, published articles, working papers and similar materials that are useful resources for justice education. Materials should address methods and goals of legal education (including education of lawyers, judges and the public); publications primarily about substantive law will usually not be listed. Generally the full text of items listed in this section will be available elsewhere on the web and the newsletter listing will simply provide a link to the full text. If the full text is not currently available on another website, GAJE may post the text on the GAJE web site with a link to the newsletter, at the discretion of the Newsletter Editor. However, because GAJE does not review the contents or accuracy of materials listed in the newsletter, listing in the "Resources for Justice Education" section of the GAJE Newsletter does not constitute "publication" of that work by GAJE.
o If you are submitting information that you have received
from another source, such as a newsletter, email notice, or web site, please comply
with any policies indicated by that source for copying and redistributing, such
as including an attribution to that source.
o Initially,
the newsletter appeared only in English, but starting with the December 2006 issue
the newsletter is published in both English and Spanish.
o The
Editor in conjunction with the GAJE Communications Committee reserves the right
not to include any material in the newsletter which it believes to be irrelevant
or discriminatory.
