Short Bio: Professor Mary Pat Treuthart served a judicial clerkship and worked at Warren County Legal Services (NJ) as a staff attorney and the program director. She joined the Gonzaga University School of Law faculty in 1989. She teaches and writes in the areas of Comparative Women’s Rights, Constitutional Law, Criminal Procedure, International Human Rights, and Mental Disability Law. She was the Co-Director of the Gonzaga International Human Rights Clinic. Treuthart was a 2002 Fulbright Scholar & Lecturer at Marie Curie Sklodowska University in Lublin, Poland. In fall 2006, Treuthart was an ABA-CEELI legal education specialist in Kosovo. During spring semester 2012, she was the co-instructor of a domestic violence clinical course at Qatar University College of Law. Treuthart taught a U.S. Supreme Court seminar in summer 2012 at Escola De Direito De São Paulo (Direito GV) Brasil. She is a board member of the Center for Women and Democracy and she volunteers for Refugee Connections.
